We recently completed a stunning cork flooring installation for a wonderful client in Wimbledon, London. This project was a collaboration with a very smart and talented designer, who brought a clear vision and a sophisticated aesthetic to the table. The result is an absolutely gorgeous floor that both we and the client are incredibly proud of.
The Client and Designer
Our client, a discerning individual with a keen eye for detail, wanted a flooring solution that was not only beautiful but also sustainable and comfortable. Partnering with a designer who understands the nuances of creating a harmonious living space, we embarked on this project with high expectations.
Why Cork?
Cork flooring was chosen for its many benefits. It is an eco-friendly material, harvested from the bark of cork oak trees without harming them, making it a sustainable choice. Additionally, cork is naturally hypoallergenic, resistant to mold and mildew, and provides excellent thermal and acoustic insulation. Its unique cellular structure gives it a soft, cushiony feel underfoot, which is perfect for a comfortable and inviting home environment.
Now in fact this floor is not actually this the correct one but it is similar it as V4 cortejo cork floor.
Installation Process
The installation process was meticulously planned and executed to ensure the highest quality finish. Our team carefully prepared the subfloor to ensure a smooth and even surface. The cork tiles were then precisely laid out, taking care to align them perfectly for a seamless look. The attention to detail in the installation process is evident in the flawless final result. And by the way, this cork floor was installed in London by our sister company Cavendish deVere.
