This 9mm underlay is specifically made to go under carpet stair runners that require fitting with the double-stick method such as sisal, jute, seagrass and faux sisals.
'Double-stick' makes for a much more secure fitting as the underlay is glued to the stairs and the carpet is then glued to the underlay. You will still probably need some short-pin gripper.
This underlay is 100% recyclable- making it an eco-friendly and cost-efficient investment to make.
Our 9mm carpet underlay is a PU sponge carpet underlay that has been designed to provide your carpets with a luxurious feel. As well as this, the Carpenter’s Powerstep underlay is ideal if you’re looking for a high-density underlay that provides extra support and stability.
Offers good sound insulation which is very important on stairs.

How much underlay do I need?
We are probably the only company on the internet that sells this underlay in a stair runner friendly format to avoid a lot of waste and needless expense.
Priced per linear metre.
As a rule of them and for guidance only
1 step will require 0.5m length of runner to cover it. Select a width to ensure you get the right coverage under your runner. Generally, purchase the same width as your runner and it can be cut to size when fitting. The underlay may come in more than 1 section depending on size.
