With its beautiful golden to dark brown colour and tight grain, Birnham is ideal for interior projects requiring elegance and durability.
Made from Tajibo, a South American exotic wood similar in appearance to mahogany, this warm, rich, hardwood is known for its durability and beauty.
You can buy Birnham safe in the knowledge that it is FSC-certified and comes from sustainably managed forests.
Birnham is available as engineered narrow 135mm planks and herringbone blocks. Both are 19mm thick, making them even more durable and carefully sanded to achieve a smooth, sleek, uniform look. We have used a satin lacquer finish, a traditional, durable lacquer that creates a subtle gloss effect without a reflective sheen.
Birnham is not suitable for use as wall cladding but can be used with underfloor heating. Take care of this floor by using Care System 1, our specially formulated cleaning system. You can find out more about our care systems.
Tajibo was used to build Coney Island's boardwalk in New York. The famous boardwalk was opened in 1923, was reconstructed in the 1940s, and is still going strong to this day, illustrating Tajibo's natural durability.

We offer free delivery on all orders over £250 to any address within the UK. For orders under £250, a shipping fee of £40 + VAT applies. Orders placed before 12pm UK time will be dispatched the following day and are expected to arrive within 3 weeks on the UK mainland. Deliveries are made between 9am and 5pm, so please ensure someone is available to accept the package during these hours.
