The Stepping Stones. Individual tread stair runner mats for open stair cases
These are individual mats or rugs that rest on top of the tread on a set of stairs. Msot useful perhaps for open back staircases.
As long as you have a regular shaped rectangular stair you are in the right place. We can make you a stair mat for a single stair or multiple stairs. You just need to select the size and the border (it might be just whipping). These are specially designed for stair treads often where it is an open staircase without a riser.
If you can't see the size you need then just contact us and we will make one to the size you need.
As for the carpet that it is made from, we have a selection.
If it all gets too much you can reach out to us on WhatsApp with a video or image of the staircase along with the measurements you want the width of the runner to be.
We will take it form there and be back in touch.

This is a stair runner. Therefore the ends are not whipped as they will need to be cut to be fitted. If you want a floor runner with whipped and taped ends then please get in touch.

Fitting

How to measure for a stair runner
Winding stairs, platforms and landings
A straight runner won't fit on a curved or winding stair. You need a special piece cut for that. You can order these on the left but please be aware we are going to need a template sent to us in the post in order for us to cut them to the correct size.
On a final note
On a final (final!) note, please be aware that a lot of time, cost and care goes into creating your runner. Regardless of where you purchased it from, if you have bought it on a whim with the intention of sending it back if it isn’t quite right, We urge you to reconsider, cancel your order and just request some samples so you can be sure of your purchase. We send them out free.
