WEARTOP® Finish
The standard finish for this product is WEARTOP®, a high-performance multilayer matt finish with very low VOC content and high resistance to wear, impact and chemicals.
The WEARTOP® finish is factory applied and provides a durable surface suitable for demanding residential and commercial environments.
Alternative HARDOIL Finish
An alternative HARDOIL finish is available as a special-order option, generally recommended for very high-traffic areas, particularly commercial environments. Please contact us before ordering to confirm availability, pricing and delivery times.
Installation
These cork floor tiles are installed using a glue-down installation method.
The manufacturer recommends contact adhesive, with suitable adhesive applied to both the back of the tiles and the subfloor.
Recommended adhesives include:
- Wakol D3540
- Mapei Ultrabond Aqua-Contact Cork / Eco Contact
- Bostik Contact A950 Eco
- F. Ball Styccobond F66
The subfloor must be level, smooth, permanently dry, firm and free from cracks, dirt, grease, oils, solvents, sealers and old adhesive residues.
The tiles and adhesive should be acclimatised at the installation location in a dry area for a minimum of 2 days.
Finishing After Installation
The manufacturer recommends that cork floor tiles are varnished after installation to help seal the joints and improve wear resistance.
For these cork tiles, the laying instructions specify applying 3 coats of varnish after installation. Allow at least 24 hours after laying before applying the varnish, and always follow the varnish manufacturer's instructions.
Recommended finishing and joint-sealing products include:

Underfloor Heating
The tiles are suitable for use with hot-water and electrical underfloor heating.
The manufacturer's technical specification states a recommended maximum surface temperature of 28°C. The specific cork tile installation instructions for underfloor heating must also be followed.
Care & Maintenance
The cork floor should be kept clean using a mop or vacuum cleaner, with dust and dirt removed regularly.
For heavier soiling, the floor can be damp-mopped using an appropriate pH-neutral cleaning product.
Do not use:
- Abrasive cleaning products
- Solvent-based cleaning products
- Ammonia-based cleaning products
Furniture legs should be fitted with suitable protective pads, and doormats should be used at entrances to help protect the floor from dirt and sand.
Avoid prolonged contact with rubber, latex, plastics or other plasticiser-containing materials, as these may cause permanent staining.
As cork is a natural material, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause some fading. Blinds or curtains can help reduce direct solar exposure.

Returning Items:
What You Can Return
For carpet tiles and wooden floors, a 40% restocking fee applies to all returns. Items returned must be undamaged and in their original packaging. If not, you may be responsible for additional fees and may not receive a refund. The buyer is responsible for return postage.

Cancellations:
If you wish to cancel an order, it must be done within 24
hours of purchase and before the order has been shipped for a full refund. Once
shipped, cancellations are not accepted. Instead, apply for a return after
receiving the package. Refunds generally take 5 to 15 business days. If you
haven't received your refund within 30 days, please email us.

We offer free delivery on all orders over £250 to any address within the UK. For orders under £250, a shipping fee of £40 + VAT applies. Orders placed before 12pm UK time will be dispatched the following day and are expected to arrive within 1 to 3 business days on the UK mainland. Deliveries are made between 9am and 5pm, so please ensure someone is available to accept the package during these hours.
