The Queenstown Pipeline

Product Description

The Queenstown Pipeline – Heritage Axminster Carpet

A rich and characterful woven Axminster carpet, The Queenstown Pipeline is a celebration of classic pattern and traditional craftsmanship. Featuring a striking interruption design in deep maroon, cream, forest green, navy and warm orange tones, it delivers a layered, intricate look that feels both timeless and full of personality.

The repeating pattern creates a strong visual rhythm, with bands of colour and detail that draw the eye and give the carpet a sense of movement and depth. It’s a design rooted in heritage — reminiscent of grand hotels, railway lounges and classic interiors — making it ideal for spaces that embrace tradition with confidence.

Woven using true Axminster construction, The Queenstown Pipeline is built for performance as well as appearance. The 80% wool / 20% nylon blend provides warmth, resilience and long-term durability, while the dense woven structure ensures the pattern remains crisp and well-defined even in the most demanding environments.

Designed for heavy contract use, it is perfectly suited to staircases, corridors, hospitality settings and high-traffic areas in the home — delivering heritage style, durability and lasting performance.

PLEASE READ ALL THE WAY TO THE END BEFORE MAKING YOUR ORDER

How to order

As a rule of them and for guidance only;
Just count your steps and order accordingly
1 step will require 0.5m length of runner to cover it.

Over 6m long and your runner may come in 2 sections for ease of transport.
It will make NO difference to the fitting however, if you want it in one section please contact us before ordering. It takes a little longer and costs a little more.

Please note well

Pictures displayed are a guide only, as colours can vary dependent on your monitor/tablet/phone - we highly recommend you request a sample piece before you order to make sure you are happy - we send them, out free.

This is a stair runner. Therefore the ends are not whipped as they will need to be cut to be fitted. If you want a floor runner with whipped and taped ends then please get in touch.

If you need to know the termonology of a staircase to help talk in flooring language then go here: https://fenstoncarter.co.uk/blogs/news/the-anatomy-of-a-staircase-and-staircase-terminology

Fitting

A straight faux sisal runner can be fitted yourself. Here is a great video that explains how to do that: https://youtu.be/YlXagjGdv8w

How to measure for a stair runner

Winding stairs, platforms and landings

A straight runner won't fit on a curved or winding stair. You need a special piece cut for that. You can order these on the left but please be aware we are going to need a template sent to us in the post in order for us to cut them to the correct size.

On a final note

On a final (final!) note, please be aware that a lot of time, cost and care goes into creating your runner. Regardless of where you purchased it from, if you have bought it on a whim with the intention of sending it back if it isn’t quite right, We urge you to reconsider, cancel your order and just request some samples so you can be sure of your purchase. We send them out free.

This is a bespoke, hand-made item and we are not liable to accept returns. Please make yourself aware of the legal guidance under UK law: https://www.gov.uk/accepting-returns-and-giving-refunds.  However, we will accept returns and issue refunds on runners of 50cm to 60cm width and over 4m in length.
