The Pyrmont Bridge. Axminster stair runner in multiple herringbone colours
The Pyrmont Bridge range is a bold and characterful Axminster carpet inspired by classic woven patterns and rich architectural colour. Featuring a striking chevron design woven in deep red, forest green, soft gold and muted blue tones, it creates a vibrant yet balanced visual rhythm across the surface. The repeating zig-zag pattern has a strong sense of movement, bringing energy and personality to a staircase or hallway while still feeling timeless and elegant. It’s the sort of design that works beautifully in period homes, boutique interiors, or anywhere you want the floor covering to act as a genuine design feature rather than simply a backdrop.
Woven using traditional Axminster construction, The Pyrmont Bridge combines heritage craftsmanship with modern durability. The wool-rich blend provides warmth, texture and resilience underfoot, while the tightly woven structure ensures the pattern remains crisp and defined even in busy areas of the home. Designed for heavy-use environments, it is equally at home as a stair runner, hallway carpet or statement rug. The result is a carpet that feels both luxurious and practical — full of colour, character and lasting performance.

PLEASE READ ALL THE WAY TO THE END BEFORE MAKING YOUR ORDER
How to order
As a rule of them and for guidance only;
Just count your steps and order accordingly
1 step will require 0.5m length of runner to cover it.
Over 6m long and your runner may come in 2 sections for ease of transport.
It will make NO difference to the fitting however, if you want it in one section please contact us before ordering. It takes a little longer and costs a little more.
Please note well
Pictures displayed are a guide only, as colours can vary dependent on your monitor/tablet/phone - we highly recommend you request a sample piece before you order to make sure you are happy - we send them, out free.
This is a stair runner. Therefore the ends are not whipped as they will need to be cut to be fitted. If you want a floor runner with whipped and taped ends then please get in touch.
If you need to know the termonology of a staircase to help talk in flooring language then go here: https://fenstoncarter.
Fitting
A straight faux sisal runner can be fitted yourself. Here is a great video that explains how to do that: https://youtu.be/YlXagjGdv8w
How to measure for a stair runner
Winding stairs, platforms and landings
A straight runner won't fit on a curved or winding stair. You need a special piece cut for that. You can order these on the left but please be aware we are going to need a template sent to us in the post in order for us to cut them to the correct size.
On a final note
On a final (final!) note, please be aware that a lot of time, cost and care goes into creating your runner. Regardless of where you purchased it from, if you have bought it on a whim with the intention of sending it back if it isn’t quite right, We urge you to reconsider, cancel your order and just request some samples so you can be sure of your purchase. We send them out free.
This is a bespoke, hand-made item and we are not liable to accept returns. Please make yourself aware of the legal guidance under UK law: https://www.gov.uk/accepting-returns-and-giving-refunds. However, we will accept returns and issue refunds on runners of 50cm to 60cm width and over 4m in length. HM Jasper Mambo
