Rubio Monocoat Tannin Remover is a ready-to-use on untreated and oiled wood surfaces for removing circles or stains on wood caused by the reaction of acid and water. These stains often occur in a combination of moisture and metal (e.g. a moist can of soft drink on a countertop). The product can be used on untreated, oiled and waxed surfaces and is also suitable for outdoor applications.
The product Tannin Remover is suitable for these types of stains:
- Urine (from pets, children, etc.)
- Rust stains
- Rings/stains from cans, flower pots
- After water damage on parquet
- In case of efflorescence on outside wood (on the bottom of gates, doors, on walls, etc.)
It is recommended to purchase in conjunction with ‘Rubio Monocoat All Natural Wood Cleaner Spray 125ml’ & ‘Rubio Monocoat Microfibre Cloth‘.
STEP 1. First attempt to remove the stain with the Natural Wood Cleaner. This will often be sufficient to remove your (fresh) stain.
Instructions:
- Make the surface dust-free.
- Spray All Natural Wood Cleaner Spray onto the surface.
- Rub dry with the microfiber cloth.
- Allow to dry. Rinsing with clean water is not necessary.
STEP 2. Is the treatment with the spray insufficient to (completely) remove the stain? If no, you can switch to the stain removers. These can be purchased individually or as a set Stain Remover Set.
Use the following order for this:
- First try to remove the stain with the Limespot Remover.
- If your stain is still there, switch to the Grease Remover.
- Your last option is the Tannin Remover.
Instructions:
- Spray the remover on the stain.
- Let absorb for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Dab dry with the enclosed microfibre cloth or a paper towel (do not wipe!).
- Clean the whole surface thoroughly after. Use a damp cloth for this or clean with All Natural Wood Cleaner Spray.
